Several SOE doctoral students attended and presented posters and roundtables at the Iowa Education Research and Evaluation Association Conference on Friday, December 4, 2015. Erin Lain and Anne Franklin won awards for Best Research Posters.
Erin presented “A Phenomenological Case Study: The Law School Environment as Experienced by Academically Dismissed Black and Latina/o Law Students.” Anne presented “An Analysis of Parental Experiences in Interpreting Standards-Based Grades.” Both Erin and Anne also hosted roundtable discussions surrounding these topics.
Jenny Kerns hosted a roundtable discussion on “Learning at Home: A Phenomenological Study on Homeschool Parents and Student Development.”
