Erguner-Tekinalp named Vice President-Counselor Educator for Iowa School Counselor Association

Bengu Erguner-Tekinalp, associate professor of counselor education at Drake University, has been elected Vice President-Counselor Educator for the Iowa School Counselor Association.

Ergner-Tekinalp will serve a three-year term starting on July 1, 2015. Her role as VP Counselor Educator is to represent the interests of student counselors during ISCA board decisions. She will also serve as a resource for issues concerning research, resources, and items in reference to higher education.

The mission of the Iowa School Counselor Association is to advance the academic, career and emotional/social development of all students through excellence in professional school counseling.
