Advertising students participate in three visits to ad agencies in the curriculum of the Account Management course, JMC 129. In addition to Saturday Manufacturing, students also met agency personnel at Meyocks Group and Flynn-Wright this semester. According to Dorothy Pisarski, Associate Professor, these visits allow students to hear professionals describe their work, client relationships, management styles, and more. Students also find inspiration listening to the professionals discussing career paths and opportunities available in all aspects of the advertising industry.
New this year, each student in the course had his or her own mentor, a professional who volunteered to answer specific questions about careers in advertising.
