The American Liszt Society Iowa Chapter joins Drake University and the University of Iowa together in a special concert to celebrate Franz Liszt, Richard Wagner and Guiseppe Verdi. The concert will take place at Drake University on Saturday, March 9 at 1:30 p.m. in Sheslow Auditorium, 2507 University Avenue. This event is free and open to the public.

Faculty and students from both Drake University and the University of Iowa will perform opera paraphrases by Franz Liszt in celebration of the centenary of Richard Wagner and Guiseppe Verdi. Nicholas Roth, associate professor of piano at Drake University, says this event represents an exciting collaboration between Drake University and the University of Iowa, and is a wonderful opportunity for piano students at Drake. Performers from Drake include Professor Nicholas Roth and students Michael Buege, Sarah Thune and Daniel Scheetz. Pianists from University of Iowa include Professor Ksenia Nosikova and students Casey Rafn and Max Tsai.
