MSE Graduate Becomes National Board Certified Teacher

Tracy Pettitt, a graduate of the School of Education, recently became a National Board Certified Teacher. Tracy was a member of the 2001 graduating cohort MSE: Teaching, Learning and Leadership. After completing her degree, she taught high school English for two years in a rural district near Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She is now in her eighth year of teaching at a suburban St. Louis high school. Tracy expressed that her experience at Drake played an important role in shaping the teacher that she is today. She was appreciative to Drake for establishing a foundation for her success. “We have touched the lives of many students,” Tracy acknowledged.

The Drake School of Education would like to congratulate Tracy Pettitt on her accomplishment and wish her well for future success.
