Old school photo: 1964

June 6, 2011

Each month, we'll explore our archives and showcase a photo that captures the spirit of Drake University from a historical perspective.

Members of Alpha Phi and Sigma Phi Epsilon perform during "The Delightfully Grimm World of Bulldog Tales."

Quax described the show as "new renditions of famous old fairy tales; excerpts from Shakespeare's Macbeth (somewhat altered); take-offs from Broadway stage shows; jazz; folk singers; and a bevy of beauties including the new Miss Drake, Joan Christiansen, and the Quax Beauties."

Cowles Library invites alumni to electronically browse past issues of Quax and other archives by visiting the Drake Heritage Collection online.
