Alumnus Bill Buchanan was honored at a May gathering on campus

In May, actuarial science alumni gathered for a reunion.

Nearly 50 Drake actuarial science alumni gathered for an evening of networking and celebration in early May.

The Actuarial Science Alumni Evening, a cocktail reception, was held at the new Turner Jazz Center on campus.

During the event, alumnus Bill Buchanan, BN’57, was honored with the Stuart A. Klugman Distinguished Alumni Award.

“Each year, the Actuarial Science Program recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves in the actuarial field with the Stuart Klugman award,” said Rahul Parsa, professor of actuarial science and statistics. “Mr. Buchanan is not only a distinguished actuary but also an outstanding Drake alum dedicated to his alma mater.”

Alumnus Bill Buchanan received the Stuart A. Klugman Distinguished Alumni Award.
