An article by Martin Begleiter, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt professor of law at Drake Law School, recently was listed on the Social Science Research Network’s (SSRN) Top Ten download list for Wills, Trusts and Estates Law eJournal.
His article, “Son of the Trust Code — The Iowa Trust Code after Ten Years,” traces the issues that arose and the amendments considered, adopted and rejected over the 10 years since the Trust Code’s enactment.
In the article, Begleiter discusses how the Iowa drafters could respond quickly to new developments and concerns. He also describes a unique process of statutory drafting and amending.
