Indoor Farmers Market to feature holiday harvest

The Drake Neighborhood Farmers Market has scheduled an indoor market for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at First Christian Church, 2500 University Ave. in Des Moines. Admission and parking will be free.

Several vendors from the summer farmers market will offer Iowa-grown produce, farm-raised poultry and eggs, baked goods, gifts and crafts. Hot meals also will be available for purchase.

Additional items for sale will include: kettle corn, cider, apples, squash, pies, cookies, candy, noodles, jams, honey, jelly, jam, jar gifts, holiday supplies, greens and ornaments.

In addition, there will be free blood pressure checks and blood sugar tests available.

The market is sponsored by First Christian Church, Drake University and the Drake Neighborhood Association.
