The Drake University Parents Association recently elected 17 parents to its Board of Directors. The new members, who will serve until their student graduates from Drake, are:

- Tim and Nancy D’Anza of Mount Prospect, Ill., parents of Nikki D’Anza
- Paul and Cindy Francis of Carroll, Iowa, parents of Sarah Francis
- John and Maureen Gamble of Adel, Iowa, parents of Taylor Gamble
- Lisa and Steve Gabriel of Dixion, Ill., parents of Brandon Treviranus
- Ken and Laura Martin of Little Rock, Ark., parents of Matt Martin
- Karen and Alejandro Munoz of Clive, Iowa, parents of Alex Munoz
- David and Betsy Pokorny of Des Moines, Iowa, parents of Josie Pokorny
- Mike and Kim Whalen of Bettendorf, Iowa, parents of Christopher Whalen
The Board of Directors helps ensure the participation of parents in programs designed to further the objectives of the University and activities which meet the continuing needs of parents and students. It provides the opportunity for imaginative and meaningful participation by parents in the future of the University.
