Sandy Hatfield Clubb honored by her alma mater

Drake University Athletic Director Sandy Hatfield Clubb was honored by her alma mater, the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP), as a 2009 recipient of the Golden Nugget Award. It was presented by the Kinesiology Department in the university’s College of Health Sciences. 

Hatfield Clubb was recognized during a reception in her honor on Sept. 30 at UTEP, and received the award on Friday, Oct. 2.
The Gold Nugget Award recognizes exceptional graduates from each of the university’s colleges and schools who have distinguished themselves in their profession and life, given back to their communities and alma mater and serve as inspiration for future students.

Hatfield Clubb graduated from UTEP in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and earned a master’s degree in education in instructional specialist/kinesiology in 1989. She has served as Drake’s athletic director since 2006.
