Drake lecture to explore globalization and changes in Christianity

Peter Beyer, professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada, will give a lecture at Drake University on globalization and changes in Christianity on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The talk will begin at 7 p.m. and take place in the Bulldog Theater in Olmsted Center, 2875 University Ave. It is free and open to the public.

Beyer holds a doctorate in sociology of religion and is an expert in globalization, world religions and global systems.

His research focuses on religious diversity and multiculturalism in Canada, especially with regards to the second generation of recent immigrants to Canada.
