Drake series to focus on the hunt for books

Richard Morrow, the Ellis and Nelle Levitt distinguished professor of pharmacology at Drake, will give a lecture on Tuesday, Sept. 8, as part of Drake’s Cowles Library’s Midweek Muses and Munchies series

Morrow’s talk, titled “A Passion-Driving Book Search: From Scouring Basements to Online Bidding,” will begin at 12:10 p.m. in room 122 of Cowles Library, 2725 University Avenue. The event is free and open to the public.

Participants may bring their own lunch or purchase food from Cowles Café in the library.

Morrow has been a Drake faculty member since 1972. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati, a master’s degree from Drake and a doctorate from Indiana University. His areas of expertise are in pathophysiology, pharmacology, exercise physiology and fitness.

The Midweek Muses and Munchies series promotes discussion and discourse related to books and various academic topics and takes place each Tuesday in September.
