Saturday, September 6, is Drake Head Start Day at the Blank Park Zoo. Volunteer to help out and join the fun.
Children and their families who are served by Drake Head Start will be gazing at gazelles and grinning at ground hogs as they enjoy the annual event. The families come from the six-county-area in the Drake Head Start area and take part some of the many classroom and at-home programs offered by Drake Head Start.
Volunteers are still needed for the day and will receive free admission to the Blank Park Zoo for the day. Their families are also invited to join the festivities at a reduced admission rate. Contact the Central Office with questions or to sign up (271-1854).
