Move over Cyclones, Drake invades Ames: CBPA to offer MPA at Mary Greeley

Drake will offer its Master of Public Administration program at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, beginning with the 2006 fall semester.

Faculty members from Drake’s College of Business and Public Administration in Des Moines will teach classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays at Mary Greeley Medical Center, 1111 Duff Ave., Ames. There’s still time to enroll before the registration deadline on Aug. 15.

Drake’s MPA program is designed for individuals who want to develop superior executive, public policy and resource management expertise to successfully lead a public or nonprofit organization. The curriculum is a 36-credit hour degree program that can be completed on a part-time schedule of two consecutive classes per semester in two calendar years.

This will be the second Drake program offered at Mary Greeley. The University previously conducted a Certificate in Health Care Administration program at the medical center.

“We have worked with Drake in the past and found the University’s programs to be very beneficial,” said Mary Greeley Vice President Toni Shropshire. “We’re very pleased to be able to continue to collaborate with Drake and bring quality programming to Ames and surrounding communities.”
